Passing thought...
I was talking to someone today about common law marriages, which got me thinking...

If I live with both Tom and Chris for 7 years, does that mean I'm common law married to BOTH of them?

Common law VS no polygamy law. Which shall PREVAIL.

I HOPE we are married via actual ceremony by then... and I think the word you are looking for is PREVAIL. I think that both laws will persevere.

nope

Actually, if i remember right, due to the extreme homo-phobia of the conservative legistature in idaho, i believe that the common-law marriage law was repealed in the late 90s, due to the fact that marriage was not defined as male & female, so the common-law marriage at the time was a loop-hole for same-sex marriages. Sorry, looks like you'll have to choose one of 'em!
