Oh my.

Philosophy class has just informed me of the proper usage of feeling "platonic" toward someone.

Named after Plato (thus, where we get "platonic", though he didn't coin this term), the idea of platonic love is to have the greek form of Eros love (intense passion of lovers), but that instead of acting on these feelings, one resists them in order to have a purely working relationship with them (with a possible philos love - friendship love) and nothing more.

... Huh. Now, granted, our times now refer to it as completely different, so no big, but I just don't think I can use that term now without thinking of its original definition.
