Blood Moon and Satan's Britney Spears.

Against my better judgment, I woke up at 4:30 this morning to check out the lunar eclipse.

... Of course, I couldn't get the back door to open... or the gate in the front to open... and so then I went to the back door again... and remembered there are two lock mechanisms. A-ha!

It looked like I was gazing at mars... with a baby moon snuggled in a corner. It was gorgeous and unique. And since I'm fully awake and not ready to fall over in exhaustion like I was yesterday, I have now officially decided I'm glad I woke up to see it.

In other news, I finished reading my 31st novel this year. I better get my ass in gear if I'm going to get 50 read before the end of December! (Especially if I decide to do Nano this year. o_O)

The book I finished was, brace yourself, called Date Me Baby, One More Time by Stephanie Rowe.

No, I'm actually serious.

And yes, that was a big reason I picked it up! Come on, when someone writes a paranormal romance that they intend to be silly and wacky, I'm on board! And man, am I glad I did!

This book seriously rocked my socks! It managed to make me giggle while also having some fabulous sex scenes. That's hard to pull off, I tell you! (Though I will say that wondervixen would have been horrified with this book. Satan is... interesting in this book. And I won't go into Satan Jr...)

I'm slightly chipper today, which is just weird. Sleep does strange things to me!

  • 40 books in one year... so close!

I really tried to get the 50 books read in one year goal... but yeah, 2009 was pretty busy mostly sucking. (Though, yes, some fabulous things did…

Just finished Turn Coat by Jim Butcher. It took me awhile to finish this, actually. The beginning was a bit slow, but the second half was very well…
